If you say you have no choice, you're probably right.
You have no choice until you upgrade your entire operating system: your identity first, then the transition optionality you desire.
Until you update who you believe you are, no amount of strategy, tactics or productivity will make any meaningful difference.
You will keep defaulting to old behaviours no matter how many systems you implement. This is a never ending project so find a way to make it fun, of course, high achievers are more concerned because they expand the second they feel that plateau.
But even those at a comfortable corporate career who THINK they are stable, are mostly stuck instead of stable.
Many have tried to run a business before their identity was able to hold it, so thinks continued to collapse, and since our nervous system hates "collapse mode", you just go back to the old, even when you know it's doing nothing for you anymore.
I am not asking you to "take risk", quite the contrary, I am asking to please stop taking risk until you have recalibrated your identity and built the transition you desire to jump into
The jump becomes a natural next step because you have changed, and by default, everything is commanded to change to hold the new you.
That is the heart of "strategy", it is truth.
